Footy Classified: Sept 21

Nine Melbourne responds to breaking AFL news by bringing forward an extra episode of Footy Classified tonight.

Nine has brought forward an episode of Footy Classified  tonight, which appears to be in response to breaking news around Hawthorn Football Club today.

This will screen at 8:40pm in Melbourne only (other cities as previously scheduled) and serve as a season finale.

My Life as a Rolling Stone will now screen at 9:40pm in Melbourne.

Updated.

  1. Wonder what effect this late change has on the rating…

EPG’s were not updated, so it was not recorded for me and was not yet available on catchup when I looked around 11ish.

I’m of two minds if I bother trying to watch it on catch-up (it’s been years since I’ve watched something where I have not been able to forward the ads.)

  2. Wish i saw this earlier. On my Foxtel EPG it said Rolling Stone first and no sign at all of Footy Classified on the schedule which seemed strange.Thought i must have missed it already but nope just a muck up in the shedule

  3. Various online EPG’s, such as, YourTV, Freeview, etc. for Melbourne have: “My Life as a Rolling Stone” starting at 8:40pm followed by “Footy Classified” at 10pm.

So not sure what’s going on (I have a recording setup for “My Life as a Rolling Stone”).

PS. Nine’s YourTV has been utterly UNreliable over the last week or so (along with a number of others), so I would not be surprised that it’s wrong & remains so. However, Freeview has been mostly accurate, even with late changes to network schedules.

  4. It was already listed in newspaper guides as screening tonight (10pm MEL) – what Nine appear to have done in Melbourne market is react to the big AFL news story by swapping the placement of the Rolling Stones doco and Footy Classified, so it’s now footy then rock, rather than the other way round.
