American Idol may have had William Hung, but Australian Idol had Zhou (Flynn) Liu.
Aged just 18 he auditioned with a memorable rendition of Michael Jackson’s Beat It which didn’t get him through to the Top 12, but his enthusiasm was so infectious he was brought onto the show, given back up dancers and a solo number, Freestylers’ Push Up.
Here he is performing at the 2004 Grand Final outside the Sydney Opera House with a full production and screaming fans.
Wherever you are now Flynn, you rocked it.
