Royal events have not stopped Netflix from announcing an early November date for S5.

As part of its Tudum content event, Netflix has confirmed Season 5 of The Crown will screen on Wednesday November 9.
Imelda Staunton succeeds Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, while Jonathan Pryce replaces Tobias Menzies as the Duke of Edinburgh and Lesley Manville will be Princess Margaret, following from Helena Bonham Carter.
Dominic West stars as Charles and Aussie Elizabeth Debicki as Diana, replacing Josh O’Connor and Emma Corrin, respectively.

I’m sure that The Crown devotees will be wondering if Netflix and the shows producers will make reference to the Queens passing or maybe even make a future TV movie to conclude this fascinating adaption of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.
