Sarah Beeny reveals cancer diagnosis

UK presenter Sarah Beeny has revealed she is undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Beeny, who has fronted Property Ladder, Help! My House is Falling Down and Beeny’s Restoration Nightmare told press that she had “a little bit of a breakdown” after receiving the news about her diagnosis in a hospital consultation room.

“I’m lucky because I live in a family where we all talk,” she explained.

She will have surgery and undergo radiotherapy in the new year and plans to draw on “inner strength” throughout her treatment process.

Beeny, who has four sons, lost her mother to breast cancer when she was 10 years old.

Despite her diagnosis, the entrepreneur said she would continue to work and is focused on a new series and book planned for later in the year. The 50-year-old broadcaster began a course of chemotherapy last week.
