Seven’s Farmer lifts as Paige quits, Nine wins Tuesday.

Seven News, ACA and The Block win slots. 10 trails ABC on Tuesday.

Farmer Paige last night quit Farmer Wants a Wife for good, having already walked off the show a week ago, only to be enticed back by “Sam’s Choice.”

However she decided none of the remaining blokes measured up and removed herself from the show.

“I came here looking for love and I haven’t found that with someone, but I’ve found a new love for myself and that’s incredible,” she stated.

It followed Farmer Benjamin also having to leave this week due to a death in the family.

But the drama led to a lift in numbers with 517,000 metro viewers, second in its slot and thankfully hearthrob Farmer Will is still there for the audience.

The Block once again dominated at 752,000, well ahead of 7:30 (487,000), Take 5 with Zan Rowe (344,000) and The Amazing Race Australia (326,000).

  1. Shows like The Block lifting from 752,000 to 1,370,000 (a lift of 618,000) must be keeping Nine very happy if the bulk of that is coming from 9Now. As let’s face it the adverts are baked in and they can’t be skipped, so it is getting to the point where that is almost neck and neck with free to air overnights. Farmer Wants a Wife went from 517,000 to 1,040,000 which is actually higher at 523,000 more, so advertising rates in the future could become a great source of revenue for all the free to air networks..

  2. I think Tuesday could be described as quite a soft night, even with the new reality we are living in.

Yes, The Block people can celebrate it being well ahead of other shows but the 700,000 to 800,000 range is hardly Champagne popping territory.

I also remain bewildered that Ten are continuing with their 2.5 hour news and Project block – The Project’s ratings just sink a little bit lower every few months and the 90 minute news just sits like a lichen on a rock refusing to move at all. Surely there has to be a point where some kind of response is needed if they wish to remain competitive?

  3. The final episode of Old People’s home for teenagers was so emotional and uplifting. Many tears were shed watching it. Congratulations to the ABC for producing such an incredible show. The teenager version was even better than the previous ones with 4 year olds.
