Sunrise leads breakfast battle, Nine wins Monday.

A lot of the Royal news coverage is playing out in Breakfast TV, where Seven has the edge with viewers.

Much of the battle over rolling news coverage from the UK is taking place in the breakfast zone, with presenters and reporters on the ground for Australian viewers.

Sunrise led the numbers yesterday at 222,000 metro viewers, edging out Today at 200,000. ABC’s News Breakfast scored 114,000 / 72,000 a total of 186,000.

Seven News was #1 at 976,000 / 944,000.

Elsewhere in primetime The Block topped entertainment at 719,000, well ahead of 7:30 (573,000), Australian Story (543,000), Farmer Wants a Wife (492,000), The Amazing Race Australia (353,000).

Later Have You Been Paying Attention? was 544,000 then Four Corners (406,000), Media Watch (370,000), Emergency (359,000).

Nine network won Monday with 28.8% then Seven 27.7%, 10 18.3%, ABC 17.9% and SBS 7.3%.

Nine News (846,000 / 820,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair led with 650,000 then Hot Seat (393,000 / 252,000). Footy Classified and 100% Footy

The Chase won with 508,000 / 309,000 for Seven then Home & Away (522,000). Young Elizabeth doco drew 193,000.

The Project pulled 318,000 / 205,000 for 10. 10 News First managed 272,000 / 184,000. Just for Laughs Australia was 220,000.

ABC News was 610,000 for ABC. China Tonight (189,000) and The Drum (162,000) followed.

On SBS it was Lighthouses: Building the Impossible (135,000), SBS World News (125,000 / 117,000), DNA Family Secrets (113,000) and 24 Hours in Emergency (99,000).

The Adventures of Paddington (115,000) led multichannels.

In Total TV numbers last Monday were:

911: Lone Star: 452,000
The Amazing Race Australia: 694,000
Farmer Wants a Wife: 1.07m
The Block: 1.37m
Four Corners: 1.02m
