New UK observational series Rescue: Extreme Medics premieres next week.
This is a 5 part series.
A brand-new network serves the entire population of Scotland, spread over 30,000 square miles of land bringing the hospital to the hillside, as they provide a lifeline for over 5.4 million people. Scotland has some of the most challenging geography in Europe, which means that emergency medicine works under a completely different set of pressures to the rest of the UK. This is medical intervention at its extreme best, and quite unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.
Episode One:
A distressing call comes in for a man trapped under his quad bike in an inaccessible part of Skye. Trauma teams in Aberdeen and Glasgow deal with potentially life changing injuries.
Monday, 24 October at 8.30pm on SBS.
