Giveaway: Halifax: Transgression

5 copies of a new Halifax novel penned by creator Roger Simpson are up for grabs.

5 copies of a new novel, Halifax: Transgression are up for grabs in Friday’s newsletter thanks to Simon & Schuster Australia.

The writer and creator of Halifax f.p. (1994-2002), Roger Simpson, is behind a series of three new novels with criminal profiler Dr Jane Halifax back to solve an all new case.

“After twenty years, I really didn’t expect Channel Nine to bring back Halifax f.p. – but they did – and with great success. Halifax: Retribution was a rating success here in Australia and has been sold to PBS in the States, with more international sales in the wings. But if that was surprising – the approach from Cass Di Bello was even more unexpected – and flattering,” said Simpson.

“Her enthusiasm to produce Jane Halifax novels has been irresistible, and as someone new to publishing, I couldn’t be in safer hands. We clicked immediately and I hope Halifax: Transgression will give another dimension to what has been a wonderful journey with Jane.”

If you haven’t yet subscribed to the Friday newsletter you can do so here.

Halifax f.p was one of the most prestigious franchises on Australian television, starring Aussie legends like Rebecca Gibney as forensic psychiatrist Jane Halifax, Hugh Jackman, Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce, Ben Mendelsohn and many more. This new book series will take us even deeper into Jane’s world, delving into her past and answering questions the show never did.

Halifax: Transgression is out today, 5th October.

  1. Gosh I hope he does another telemovie or even a series with Nine again. These books would be perfect as the story. I really love the series and would love a more permanent revival. Keen to read the books!
