Liam Bartlett quits Nine

“My time at 60 Minutes has afforded me so many memorable moments," says Liam Bartlett.

Perth-based Liam Bartlett will leave Nine in November, exiting 60 Minutes and local radio commitments hosting 6PR Mornings.

Bartlett has been reporting for 60 Minutes from 2006 – 2012 then rejoining in 2015.

“My time at 60 Minutes has afforded me so many memorable moments in the footsteps of some of the best in the business. I’m extremely appreciative of all the opportunities.”

60 Minutes executive producer Kirsty Thomson said, “His reports from the world’s most far-flung places and his award-winning investigations into animal cruelty, government rorts and global scams will always be among the program’s most memorable.

“Liam is a brilliant journalist and a razor-sharp interviewer who cares deeply about the stories he tells. We will miss him and wish him every success in the future.”

  1. I like Liam. He will be sadly and sorely missed. I love his voice. And his presence, his interviewing style, and probing questions. Hope to see you around on another news show etc. I wish you all the very best for your future.

  2. Oh no going to miss one of my secret crushes that suave precise voice and the quiet dashing looks of Mr Bartlett from my screen. Job well done though throughout the years considering he’s been tear-gases, stoned by people and told to stay away by an ex PM that’s dedication to the job, he’s up there with the best, wish only good things continue to come his way.
