Auditions: Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars

Is your food or drink business the next big thing?

Casting is now underway for Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, coming to Nine in 2023.

“You may have a food or drink product, a casual eatery, a piece of equipment or tech, a simple idea… or something completely new,” a casting notice has announced.

“Whether you are in the early days of development, business or fully trading, if you have the drive and passion to succeed in the food industry, Gordon Ramsay & Janine Allis want to hear from you!”

The series by Endemol Shine Australia pairs Gordon Ramsay with Janine Allis (Shark Tank, Celebrity Apprentice).

“Gordon & Janine will push everyone to their limits through a series of relentless challenges that test their character and business acumen. The people who impress them the most, will win a life-changing investment.”

Investment suggests some ownership may be involved,  rather than a flat cash prize, which is how Shark Tank worked.

Selected participants must be available for principal filming from 12th of April through to the 12th of May 2023.

The closing date for applications is 23:59 on Monday 19 December 2022.

  1. Has Gordon got any other talents besides abusing and pushing people to their limits. Does he have a use by date by chance but I guess every old boiling pot has a lid that never gets used.

  2. Gordon would probably be one of the most known TV chefs and Janine’s Boost Juice is in almost every shopping centre. So they’re known and experienced.

Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars seems like it might be gimmicky with The Apprentice style challenges. I think there could be more focus on brand development and marketing of products using their expertise, in earnest.

Shark Tank, Dragon’s Den etc. ends when the investment is made. This new show could’ve been done from the perspective of between investment to market success.
