In 2014 these American ladies thought they were in a reality TV show vying for the chance at royalty.

Oh Reality TV, we can never fully trust your hijinks.
Back in 2014, some gullible American ladies tried their luck at TV dating when men on The Bachelor wre genuinely eligible (ie. loaded and well-off) but had no idea that I Wanna Marry Harry would become the title of theirs.
They all seemed to think 25 year old ginger-haired British Environmental Consultant Matt Hicks was Prince Harry. For this ruse he was even coached in all things royal by a butler and society experts on how to speak with eloquence (“air-hair-lair”), table manners, and coached on Harry’s biography.
Produced by the makers of Joe Millionaire, the series saw ‘Harry’ cleverly arrive via helicopter and security before being whisked away into a chauffered car, only to meet him at a ‘Masked Ball.’
In the end Harry cut Meghan from Dallas in Week 6 and settled on Kimberly from Long Island, a social worker, model and actress.

And the real Harry went on to marry someone who actually was on a game show…
Ahh the memories you have stashed away David Knox 😁
Funny how the woman over “Harry’s” right shoulder looks remarkably like Meghan Markle. If only this was in a Simpsons episode. I remember watching this show purely for the train wreck value. Where is Matt Hicks now? His Twitter account has been inactive since June 2015. Thanks for the laugh David.
