Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup topped the ratings week at 1.02m metro viewers for 10, but while those numbers don’t include 10Play, it has halved since 2015.
The week was won once again by Nine even with less Block episodes in play.
Also noteworthy last week was the final season of Doc Martin on ABC.
On Saturday SBS and ABC Kids shows also outranked anything on 10 which is a concern given it has reset with first run crime dramas.

correction, seven news is 871k (sun), not 850k.
Any updates on who is leading the ratings race for 2022 David 😊
It’s not about weeks won, but overall share. You can see some data in weekly ratings wrap if you look at the graphs.
I think Dogs Behaving Very Badly (342,000) was a 7 show, not 10 ? If it was 10 they would be over the moon with that figure and would have rerun it at least six times already. I gather 10 is cloning this show for next year. tvtonight.com.au/2022/10/returning-dogs-behaving-very-badly.html
I think just as many “real punters” would have watched the 68/78 coverage as did the 10 coverage.
That’s now 7 weeks running that 9 have come out on top. Must be in an unassailable position to take out the year.
Not really. If you look at weeks won.
9: 19 weeks won
7: 18 weeks won
