Tony Jones was interrupted by his own watch on Nine News last night.
He was reporting on the World Cup when his Apple Watch went off Live on air.
“It was someone who … is heavily involved in the state election, who was phoning me to let me know some information about a particular story,” Jones later told 3AW‘s Neil Mitchell.

Tony handled it with style these things can happen.I bet he won’t do it again
Surely presenters routinely turn to silent all such devices (or leave in dressing room) as a matter of course. Obviously not in this case but they do this for a living……
I guess everybody has that day they forget something.
We all make mistakes part of who we are, at least he tackled it with humour so no big deal there, I’ve seen worse.
