Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains cast announce

Cast in Samoa includes Benjamin Law, Anjali Rao, Sharni Vinson and David Zaharakis.

10 has confirmed the full cast for Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains premiering in January.

Jonathan LaPaglia is back in Samoa where 10 staged its first season.

Heroes
Queen Hayley Leake returns to the game as the only previous winner, alongside Survivor royalty, Nina Twine, who had her game cut short in Blood V Water and is ready to come back stronger than ever. Six years after Sam Webb played in the very first season in Samoa, he has returned, together with big wave surfer and Brains V Brawn finalist, Flick Palmateer, and the challenge beast, Shaun Hampson.

Sporting a buff for the first time is Hero Benjamin Law the ultimate slashie – author, broadcast journalist, writer and creator of The Family Law, LGBTQIA+ advocate and Survivor super fan.

He may have been your AFL team’s villain, but this former Essendon player David Zaharakis is playing for the Heroes, alongside actress Sharni Vinson, animal activist Rogue Rubin, jillaroo Paige Donald, lifeguard Matt Sharp and tourism pilot Gerry Geltch.

Villains
If you thought King George was returning for redemption, you’re wrong. This time, it’s George the terrible and he’s ready to steal his “rightful crown” from Hayley.

Helping George fly the flag for team Villains is third time returnee Shonee Bowtell as well as the first person in Australian Survivor to be blindsided with two Idols, Simon Mee. The joker returns in Jordie Hansen, alongside sneaky Steve who is back for revenge, and Australia’s most successful female poker player, Jackie Glazier.

New to the game is Miss World Australia; Sarah Marsch, Olympic pole vaulter Liz Parnov, news anchor Anjali Rao, real estate agent Fraser Lack, journalist Michael Warren and luxury car brand manager, Mimi Tang.

  1. As usual, I can’t wait. IMO Aus Survivor has taken over from the OG US series, which has become boring in its worthy, but clumsy, response to representation.

    1. Absolutely agree with you!! Aus and Survivor South Africa have been amazing to watch! Have seen every episode of US Survivor since the beginning and it absolutely needs to get back to Outwit/Outplay/Outlast – season is too short, not enough castaways, too many advantages, too much focus on race/sexual preference etc. Hopefully it returns to its old ways soon!

  2. I don’t know how I feel about this session – mixed player seasons of theses shows tend to be one sided towards the returning players (both in edit and gameplay) and I don’t how how I feel about there being no open casting for potential contestants for the one – with it all being behind closed doors and mostly notable personalities being the new players cast.

I hope for the best as a fan – but after so many overly gimicky season relying on returnees and known personalities, I wish they would go back to basics with a regular cast (24 unknown people from all walks of life – playing the game)

  3. Aussie Survivor has kicked so many goals over the last few years on 10, even the weaker seasons are terrific to watch. Hopefully this will be yet another absolute belter.
