Readers are currently choosing their Best New Australian Show for 2022 the in annual TV Tonight Awards.
Amongst the shows in contention are:
Colin From Accounts, the new Binge comedy with Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer.
Heartbreak High, Netflix’s hit reboot of the iconic 1990s teen drama.
Hunted, 10’s catch-me-if-you-can reality series on the run across Victoria.
Love Me, Binge’s classy relationship drama led by Hugo Weaving & Bojana Novakovic.
Mystery Road: Origin, ABC’s inspired prequel about indigenous detective Jay Swan.
Savage River, ABC’s rural mystery led by Katherine Langford.
Summer Love, ABC’s delightful anthology set in a holiday home on the Great Ocean Road.
The Bridge, Paramount+’s sleeper hit about the quest to work together as a team for a cash prize.
The Traitors, 10’s murder mystery parlour game.
The Twelve, Foxtel’s jury drama led by Sam Neill & Marta Dusseldorp.
But there is still time to sway the voting, including to other new shows from 2022.
Voting closes 5pm AEDT Thursday January 5 2023.

Thanks, I missed that. I was keen on reading the results update.
I think Hunted threw me off because of the reaction on TV Tonight and social media. Though it did rate well.
People enjoyed Hunted, just a bit of questioning those fake aerial shots. Traitors didn’t rate that well but drew a lot of positive comments here.
The list doesn’t specify the type of contention, whether it is positive or negative. Though I think The Traitors may potentially be a sleeper hit.
