A Malcolm in the Middle movie?

"That would be fantastic to explore what happened to this family 20 years later," says Bryan Cranston.

US sitcom Malcolm in the Middle could be on the comeback as a film with Bryan Cranston, who played “Hal”, saying he is open to the idea.

Speaking to E! News, Cranston revealed that “There was some talk about the possibility of doing, like, a reunion movie of Malcolm in the Middle. We had such a great family on that, and I certainly would be open to that if there was a good idea that came up — like, ‘Oh, that would be fantastic to explore what happened to this family 20 years later.’ I can’t believe it’s already that, but that would be fun to do.”

The series ran from 2000 to 2006, featuring s Jane Kaczmarek, Frankie Muniz. Christopher Masterson, Justin Berfield, Erik Per Sulliva) and James and Lukas Rodriguez.

Muniz, who recently revealed he’ll be a full-time driver on the NASCAR circuit, has also talked of a reboot, saying that Cranston was spearheading the project.

  1. I really enjoyed Malcolm. Poor Lois had her arms full raising sons that were trouble makers. Cloris Leachman (Ida) and Daniel Von Bargen (Spangler) have passed away.
