Renewed: Family Guy

More confirmed for the Griffins, through to Seasons 22 & 23.

US animation Family Guy has been renewed for two more seasons by FOX.

The series, screening in Australia on 7mate, is picked up for Seasons 22 and 23.

Both The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers were also renewed for two new seasons.

“With this trio of renewals, we celebrate excellence in animation on FOX, our wonderful, longtime partnership with 20th Television and the brilliant creators and incredible voices behind these forever favorites,” said FOX scripted president Michael Thorn. “Three-plus decades of The Simpsons more than two decades of Family Guy and over a decade of Bob’s Burgers proves the enduring power of the animation genre on our network and the infinite fan affinity for these outrageously funny comedy classics.”

  1. I think that Family Guy is one of those shows or series that has been dragged out for too long just because of the success and reputation of the earlier seasons. These shows can become stale and formulaic. Like squeezing that last drop from an orange. There’s probably still a market for it. Some shows can also continue for years without getting old or losing relevance.

    1. Agreed, South Park is a stand out as far as more good episodes than bad, the Covid specials were brilliant. I haven’t watched Simpsons or Family Guy new episodes for at least 5 years.
