Production is expected to resume in Australia in March -but only for 6 episodes.

US sci-fi fantasy series La Brea has been renewed for a third season by NBC.
Production is returning to Australia in March, but moves from Victoria where the first two seasons were shot to Queensland.
But while previous seasons enjoyed 10 (S1) and 14 (S2) episodes, the third season order is for 6 episodes only.
With reports the cast will be released at the end of filming, there is speculation this may be the final instalment.
However there is also speculation that when Writers Guild of America and Directors Guild of America contacts expire with studios mid year that it may trigger a strike -hence the shorter order.
New episodes of Season 2 resumed in the US this week. It screens in Australia on 9Now.

Season 1 is currently being repeated on Channel 9 free-to-air on Tuesday nights. Hopefully Season 2 will air after that.
In the middle of last year, my wife and I were riding our bikes in Braeside Park, about 20 km S.E. of Melbourne CBD when we stumbled across a film crew/equipment. A guy said they were filming La Brea. Luckily, I subscribe to TV Tonight, so was able to say I’d heard of the show!
Unfortunately Production is moving to QLD for S3
Do we know when 9 is going to show season 2? Season 1 aired around this time last year.
Nine have been plugging madly as exclusive to Now, which doesn’t mean it won’t run on FTA sometime, but they don’t seem keen to.
Well they were originally only going to show season 1 on 9now but changed their mind & put it on 9.
I’ve been happily streaming it from 9Now. All episodes are there for binging 😃
