Renewed: NCIS, NCIS: Hawaii, CSI: Vegas, Survivor, Amazing Race.

Good news for fans of US procedural and reality shows.

US broadcaster CBS has renewed a raft of shows which will be good news for fans and local networks.

US procedurals NCIS, NCIS: Hawaii and CSI: Vegas, which screen on 10 locally, have all been renewed.

NCIS will return for its 21st season, NCIS: Hawaii for a third season and CSI: Vegas for its third season.

Survivor, which debuts a new season next week, heads to its 45th season and Amazing Race to its 35th. They screen in Australia through Nine and Seven networks, respectively.

Left out of the mix for early renewals were Blue Bloods, SWAT, with press speculation negotiations are underway, plus East New York.

“This season CBS is continuing its winning tradition, delivering an unparalleled combination of top returning series and new hit shows that are entertaining huge audiences on both broadcast and streaming,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “It is a testament to the stellar work being done by our best-in-class talent in front of and behind the camera that we have had yet another exceptional season, and I know we will only continue to build on this foundation of outstanding programming as we look ahead toward next fall.”

  1. I know that Amazing Race US was unofficially renewed (as they filmed the 35th season late last year), but still excited at the official announcement… much like Phil in that pic

  2. NCIS and NCIS Hawai’i aren’t a surprise, especially with NCIS Sydney coming. CSI: Vegas getting an early renewal is. What 10 has shown of S2 has been much worse than S1 and it’s only rating 3m in the US. Streaming and overseas sales are probably the reason.
