Jon-Erik Hexum starred in 80's action series Cover Up, but his star was cut short by a tragic accident.

With Adam Lambert singing “Holding Out for a Hero” on Australian Idol this week I was reminded of Cover Up, the 1985 action series which starred hunky US model turned actor Jon-Erik Hexum as an undercover spy.

Tragically Hexum died by an accidental self-inflicted blank cartridge gunshot to the head on the set of the show, aged just 26.
