Feature film Luther: The Fallen Sun, starring Idris Elba, will screen on Netflix on Friday.

It also stars Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis and Dermot Crowley, who returns as Martin Schenk.

This was released in cinemas late last month.

In Luther: The Fallen Sun — an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Idris Elba) sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary. 

Friday March 10 on Netflix.

Luther doesn’t really need to be reimagined, fans of the TV show will know what to expect, and Idris Elba has fully developed the character he plays, but I guess the bigger movie budget will have bigger bangs, and better stunts, and if it’s not about the money maybe Mr. Elba is still auditioning to become the future Mr. James Bond.
