Outback Trucker recovering after motorcycle accident

Freight driver Paul “Sludge” Andrews is “lucky to be alive” following a motorcycle accident in WA 11 days ago.

Outback Truckers freight driver Paul “Sludge” Andrews is “lucky to be alive” after suffering severe head injuries from a motorcycle accident in WA 11 days ago.

His fiancee Wendy revealed on on his Facebook fan page, “If Sludge has not replied to your messages it’s because he had a very serious motorcycle accident.

“He is extremely lucky to be alive.”

Andrews remains in hospital with broken bones, torn ligaments, bruising and abrasions.

“It is going to be a very slow long recovery and rehab,” Wendy said.

“Be assured I will be taking very good care of him when he is able to come home.

“It has been a very stressful time but I thought all of you would like to know where he has been and what has happened.”

It is the second time in 10 weeks that Andrews has required medical attention after he was flown to hospital just before New Year’s Eve over a jet ski accident.
