The Block beats MKR finale but Seven wins Tuesday

MKR rises to its best figure all series -but not quite enough to knock off The Block.

The Block managed to hold off some serious competition last night, drawing 692,000 metro viewers.

That was enough to beat MKR’s grand final of 637,000 which was its best figure so far this season. It also improved on 2022’s finale of 528,000 and helped Seven to win the night overall.

 7:30 (450,000), Kitchen Cabinet (368,000) and Shark Tank (297,000) followed.

Later Old People’s Home for Teenagers drew 332,000 then The Cheap Seats (310,000) and Ambulance: Code Red (211,000).

Seven network won Tuesday with 32.7% then Nine 28.9%, ABC 16.5%, 10 15.7% and SBS 6.1%.

Seven News was #1 at 887,000 / 884,000. The Chase drew 489,000 / 303,000 then Home & Away (492,000).

Nine News (807,000 / 805,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair won with 714,000 then Hot Seat (380,000 / 231,000), Space Invaders (145,000) and Love Triangle at just 88,000.

ABC News pulled 576,000. Australia After War (155,000) and The Drum (122,000) followed.

The Project scored 314,000 / 210,000 for 10. 10 News First was 222,000 / 155,000. NCIS managed 149,000.

On SBS it was SBS World News (130,000 / 81,000), Insight (94,000), Dateline (84,000).

7mate’s Outback Truckers topped multichannels at 103,000.

  1. MKR needs to cut the chef whites, ‘and your time starts now’ etc if they don’t want to always be MasterChef lite. Surprised they didn’t have a big round clock instead of the digital clock.
    9 needs to beef up Go & especially Gem if they want to win Total Channel. They are weak links.
