New game show, The 1% Club, will screen on Seven from next week.
The show tests its contestants to see if they are smarter than 99% of the population for a $100,000 prize.
Produced by BBC Studios ANZ the show is hosted by Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies, and based on a format created by Magnum Media.
Tonight, we bring together a mix and match of Aussies from all over the country, all vying to join the 1% Club. Do they have what it takes?
We’ve got:
• DJ Courtney, who’s got high hopes.
• Caroline, who says she spends her day with her arm up a horse’s ass!
• Colin, who’s done some dodgy acting in a zombie movie.
• Meggie, who claims to make the world’s best roast potato & her partner Carlo who loves the potatoes but after 6 years still hasn’t married her!
• Josh, who’s a self-confessed North Korea watcher.
• Helen, an international competitive scrabble player.
• Mike, a serial quiz guy.
• Maria, a relationship counsellor and wedding celebrant.
• Omar, a robotics engineer.
• Agnus, an interactive developer & a collector of vintage Volvos.
• Tim, who can recite Superbowl stats from memory back as far as 1984.
Plus, 88 other everyday Aussies all ready to have a crack at joining the 1% club and win up to $100,000.
7:30pm Wednesday April 26 on Seven.

I’ve seen the British version of this show. Very easy watching and moves quickly. Jim Jefferies standup is rather ….um…for later viewing so will be interesting to see how he adapts to this role and time slot. His standup is very good IMO.
Thanks for the heads up David….my Foxtel app has “to be advised” (often the case with FTA on it).
