Auditions: Tipping Point

More expats in the UK needed for Nine production.

Following from UK auditions for expats into Jeopardy Australia, casting is also underway for an Australian Tipping Point.

UK producers RDFTelevision are seeking Aussie expats for episodes produced in conjunction with Endemol Shine Australia.

It isn’t clear if host Ben Shepherd would front Australian episodes, nor when it would screen.

Nine sources indicated it was pursuing some episodes with expats and Millionaire Hot Seat continues in production with no changes.

Expat Aussies (and visitors) in the UK can apply for Tipping Point at [email protected]

  1. I (think I) get the importance of this time slot to feed into news. But nines offering at 5pm has been struggling against seven for a while now whereas the decline in nines news has happened rapidly and this year. Especially in Melbourne. So while trying something new at 5pm may be on the cards for nine (David’s article indicates nine are planning no changes to Hot Seat but then again, what else would they say?), it is not clear to me this will help nines news.

    1. I understand they will keep making it so there will be no changes to the production itself but they haven’t ruled out resting it for a short time and having Tipping POint in the slot have they?

  2. So looks like they’ll trial Tipping Point, rest Hot Seat and then replace it if TP improves on current HS performance? Wise move to keep making HS and test the waters with TP. Aussies seem to love the 3pm UK version and The Chase could be vulnerable to a newer format. Larry is an icon though and I fully expect Seven to boost Chase cash/stakes to coincide with the Tipping Point Australia premiere.

  3. With Hot Seat struggling for some time now.I think they need to move Tipping Point to 5.00PM either just run the UK version.Or make a Aussie version of the show
