I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here: All Stars edition?

2024 would mark 10 seasons for 10 reality show.

Next year will mark the 10th season of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, a show which had been pushed by ITV Studios Australia for some time before finally becoming a success for Network 10.

Ahead of a possible 10th season, TV Tonight recently asked 10’s Head of Entertainment, Stephen Tate, if the network might consider an “All Stars” version of past participants?

“You’re a psychic,” laughed Tate.

“Yes of course. We would definitely consider that.”

These are the previous winners and runners-up of past seasons should 10 decide they want to return them.

2015: Freddie Flintoff, Barry Hall,Chrissie Swan
2016: Brendan Fevola, Paul Harragon, Laurina Fleure
2017: Casey Donovan, Dane Swan: Natalie Bassingthwaighte

The only real challenge for an All Stars season is it denies the audience the chance to get to know somebody new, and the show does love stories and secrets from the past to be revealed.

2023 will also be a final season with Chris Brown as host, following his defection to Seven network.

    1. David might be able to confirm but I believe Tom Cashman was rumoured to replace Chris although I agree that the chemistry between Brown and Morris will be difficult to match.

  1. So much of the success of this show centres around the mystery of who the new ‘celebs’ are at the start of each season. I think all stars editions of anything should be reserved for when a show is on its last legs and desperate for a reset or to ramp up the nostalgia factor. I’m A Celeb is booming and the new male co host should inject some freshness into the format if it is desired.

    1. Oh …..potato potato or tomato tomato….let’s call the whole thing…Who cares….give David a break. Chis Brown is leaving…”simples”.

        1. Ouch…It’s actually a song from the movie “Let’s Call the Whole Thing off” sung by Fred Astaire which words say variations on how people prefer to say things…… But ….more importantly there is no need to be facetious about my profile name.

          1. Relax its just an expression in a good sense , appealing as it were and nothing to do with your name and I do know that song also so alls well in the TVT universe.

  2. While most reality shows have this concept of the All-Stars Edition, some All-Stars versions are a success, but most of the time they’re just a fizzer.

Just have a “reunion special”, and continue getting new celebrities entering the jungle.

    1. If they want to have an all star show they should have Julia Morris and Dr Chris brown and they should make sure the show goes a little bit long as thi sho has only been on 1/2 month and they are already cutting it short. I use to watch the show when it first started and they nearly went over a bit more than a month. Shouldn’t cut show short for other show to come on quickly. Leave it on in January then they don’t have to hurry to put other shows on.

  3. A fans vs favs might work, somehow competing against each other for the first half of the season might be best of both worlds. Really looking forward to new hosts, I fast forward all the banter bits with Julia Morris and even on fast forward her erratic heads movements are annoying.

    1. Weird how that idea is a good one gives some of us a chance to mix with celebs. But how you can’t stand the banter of Chris and Julia is beyond apprehension!

  4. Yeah I’ve heard rumours for a while about an all stars version. I mean everybody else has done it so why not? But 2 people I never want to see on it again are Jo-Beth Taylor & Anthony Callea. I used to like Jo-Beth when she was on Hey Hey but I was shocked at what a nasty person she was. Both her & Anthone Callea were truly nasty, horrible people. But it definitely won’t be the same without Chris Brown. Just hope Julia sticks around.

    1. Personalities aside (our personality makes us unique as individuals)……we the viewing public don’t get a say who goes into the jungle it’s up to the network and those they ask whether they choose to accept if they want to…..which I personally think is a good thing…..because there would be no favourites or bias (whether the network choices are bias that’s their decision too). The other option is simply don’t watch it.

  5. The interesting answer is who will replace him?? One person comes to my mind is Anthony Lepaglia. I wonder what others think would be a good replacement??
