US reboot series is ending at two seasons.

US reboot Fantasy Island has been axed afte two seasons.

“We were very pleased with Fantasy Island’s fun and escapist creative, which we had hoped would gain strong traction among viewers. Sony Pictures Television is an important partner of ours, and we look forward to continuing to work with them on Accused, Alert: Missing Persons Unit, Doc and the upcoming animated series Universal Basic Guys/Hoagie Bros. We’d also like to thank Fantasy Island’s cast, led by Roselyn Sánchez, Kiara Barnes and John Gabriel Rodriquez, crew and executive producers Liz Craft, Sarah Fain and Anne Clements for their partnership on the series,” FOX said in a statement.

The new version featured Roselyn Sanchez star as Elena Roarke, who inherited the island resort originally run by the enigmatic Mr. Roarke (Ricardo Montalbán). The cast also featured Kiara Barnes and John Gabriel Rodriquez with guests including Dave Annable, Daphne Zuniga, Josie Bissett, Laura Leighton and the late Leslie Jordan.

Seven is currently screening S2 late nights on Thursdays.

  1. On Thursday night, or early Friday morning. It’s been anywhere between 10 and 40 minutes late, Seven obviously didn’t intend people to watch it then, but on 7+. This Fantasy Island was nothing like the original, it was a female centred psychological drama. One of the few network shows that wasn’t a badly written police, hospital or fire station procedural. Next season it looks like I am watching only The Rookie and Blue Bloods — the best of those.
