  1. Just reading that Judge Helen is not going to judge anymore because her husband is ill. She will be missed, especially her drooling over the young guys lol

  2. Tired show that’s ran its course. Might appeal to some but I’d rather stream high quality drama than watch Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger host a dance show that peaked about 15years ago. They both make me cringe!

  3. Yet still pre-recorded so contestants will be split into two groups for 3 episodes each then a final, meaning likely just 4 routines across 4 episodes for the finalists.

They might have got away with that for All Stars but for newbies gives little time for progression – though perhaps the filming being over just 3-4 weeks is why the casting is apparently stronger given the shorter commitment.

  4. seems like a positive reaction, i’ve always been puzzled by the people that feel the need to announce that they don’t know anyone in a celebrity cast. It usually says more about the person making the comment than the cast.

    1. I haven’t a clue who Gavin or Laura are and that says I simply don’t follow AFL, listen to podcasts or the radio much and that’s probably the case as others who have commented on who the celebrities they don’t know are.

  5. Seven have nailed the casting,.
How good does Effie / Mary look!
    I know 13 from 14, but i don’t watch AFL so that’s why I didn’t know Gavin.

  6. I’ll take the lead with 12 names I easily know, sorry Emily and Laura, probably as I’m mid 40’s.
Great cast, can’t wait for this!

    1. Absolutely, I also used to love when Virginia appeared on First Tuesday Book Club/The Book Club with Jennifer Byrne, Marieke Hardy and Jason Steger, was always great hearing her opinions on the books featured, ahhhh I still miss that show 6 years on.

    1. I think 10 would aim for a higher calibre cast, but you have to consider that most bigger celebs wouldn’t do I’m a Celeb from how degrading some could find doing some of their challenges while living in a camp.

Compare that to DWTS – where they just learn a dance every few days and likely sleep at home or in a hotel during the filming period.

  7. I absolutely adore Issa “Supernerd” Schultz from The Chase and he seems to be a firm favourite with the contestants on his esteemed game show, and I love Emily Weir from Home and Away. This is the first cast in the history of the program where most of the cast identifiable. This is the second show featuring Virginia Gay and Christie Whelan Browne , the other being We Interrupt This Broadcast. This is the deal breaker for me.

  8. Not a bad cast – I’m 8 for 14 on recognise. Too many Olympians and I notoriously do not follow. And I only recognise Gavin because he was so much of a noteworthy flop (no strategy, no presence or personality) on Aus Survivor Brains/Brawn, that his dullness was noteworthy … not sure that should count.

Of course rooting for Alibrandi & Survivor legend herself Pia Miranda – if it is live produced, I’ll definitely vote to keep her in
