  1. ACP was a staple for me many years ago. I loved it so much. I was upset when it ended. I still remember the iconic theme music. I also remember when character Molly Jones died. And was shocked of recent times to hear of the passing of some of the (then) stars of the show. Always missed. Dont remember or know if it has been already, but it should be in the Logies Hall of Fame re Drama. (As should Blue Heelers). ACP (and BH) both were such iconic Aussie shows, and both won countless Logies. Gold and silver..

  2. I loved A Country Practice, the show ended when I was 12!
The absolute nostalgia that comes across me when I hear that piano music at the opening credits gets me every time.
I started rewatching when Covid first hit.

Dare I say it, they don’t make them like they used to!

  3. When A Country Practice used to be on a Monday & Tuesday nights I used to watch it every week, the bushfire episode which was the very last episode made me cry, but some of the original stars come back for it too especially the late Joan Sydney who played Matron Sloan and also the late Judith McGrath who played Bernice Hudson who came back too marry Dr Terence Elliot & Matron Rosemary Prior which was a laugh.
To this day I miss watching A Country Practice every week.

  4. I loved ‘A Country Practice’. Mum used to record it for my sister and I so we could watch it when we got home from school every Thursday in the UK. I remember Fatso the Wombat and Doris the Pig. Also, remember the episode when Molly played by Anne Tenney died, made me cry. Please thank all the cast and crew for their hard work on the show and for being part of my childhood and for not only making me cry but making me laugh too.

    1. A few years back there was talk of a reimagining of Wandin Valley on Foxtel. Like they did Prisoner with Wentworth.
It’s shocking that this hasn’t occurred yet or perhaps it’s been sadly shelved. People would subscribe to watch a well written reimagined A Country Practice.
