Shake-up for Dancing with the Stars panel

Sharna Burgess and Craig Revel Horwood to replace Helen Richey and Paul Mercurio on next Dancing season.

Todd McKenney and Mark Wilson will return to the panel for Dancing with the Stars, joined by former 10 DWTS judges Sharna Burgess and Craig Revel Horwood.

Helen Richey told the Sunday Herald Sun she was taking time out to care for husband Robert, following a health scare.

“I have loved being part of Dancing With The Stars since the show’s inception in 2004,” she said, “I’m terribly disappointed I can’t participate this season, but family comes first.

“Robert and I will be watching on from home and wish all the contestants the best of luck for their turn on the dancefloor.”

Paul Mercurio is also out after becoming a Victorian Labor MP.

Aussie-born judges Sharna Burgess and Craig Revel Horwood both featured on 10 seasons of DWTS in 2019 and 2020, also produced by BBC Studios (and Warner Bros TV).

Seven last week announced returning cast including Charlie Albone, Christie Whelan Browne, Issa Schultz, Mary Coustas, Matt Preston, Paulini & Virginia Gay with hosts Daryl Somers & Sonia Kruger.

  1. Just replace the old Ch7 line up with the better Ch10 line up (Grant & Amanda hosting included)

I don’t normally care for DWTS, but I did find myself mildly enjoying the odd episode of Ch10 DWTS while finding the Ch7 one tedious

  2. Are Craig & Tod going to try to out nasty each other? Don’t know if we need 2 nasty judges. He was my least favourite in the 10 line up.

      1. It’ll be sassy for sure! I have had a soft spot for Todd since The Boy From Oz. I enjoyed Craig on 10. I think it will be lively if nothing else. Also thought Sharna grew into the role well so looking forward to her wisdom and humour too.
