Episode 1
June Oscar is highly regarded as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner advocating for First Nations people here and abroad. But it’s in the remote West Australian Kimberley region, on her Bunuba country, that she feels most at home. From the flood-affected Fitzroy Valley, June Oscar shares what initially sparked her drive to make social change, the fight to stop the deadly impacts of alcohol on her community and what it means to be the matriarch of her family.
