Kim Cattrall to make cameo in And Just Like That

Kim Cattrall will make a cameo appearance in And Just Like That... appearing in one scene in the Season 2 finale.

Variety reports Cattrall shot her dialogue in March without seeing or speaking with the stars of the series, including Sarah Jessica Parker, or with showrunner Michael Patrick King.

In the scene, Samantha, who in the show has moved to London, will have a phone conversation with Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw. Cattrall’s appearance will reportedly not be a continuation of the character for now.

After six seasons and two movies, Cattrall turned offers to reprise her character for a third film which was consequently cancelled.

“It’s a great wisdom to know when enough is enough,” Cattrall said in 2022. “I also didn’t want to compromise what the show was to me. The way forward seemed clear.”

When the spin-off was announced, Parker also confirmed, “We did not ask her to be part of this because she made it clear that that wasn’t something she wanted to pursue, and it no longer felt comfortable for us, and so it didn’t occur to us. That’s not ‘slamming’ her, it’s just learning.”
