I do wonder what is going to transpire here.
The general consensus no matter where you look or read is it’s not great. I call it hate watching, esp in the hope it will improve.
With Kim Catrall returning for a brief cameo today, I wonder if this opens the door for her return to season 3 and this is the reason for the renewal. Kim is a smart woman and I’d say she would only return with creative control, an EP role and a share in the profits of the show, and if this the case good for her!!
To be honest I would have preferred a slight spin off, where Carrie moves to Virgina to be with Aidan, Miranda takes an international role within the UN and the show focus on Charlotte and the Goldenblatts and Lisa and the Wexleys. For me they are the part of the show I find most enjoyable.
I don’t find anything enjoyable about the Goldenblatts helping their young daughter at her age trying loose her virginity by running around in the snow to source condoms…Harry and his pelvic floor exercises….just ridiculous….as for Miranda what a weak person she turned out to be letting Che take control most of the time and their unsuccessful threesome…and an episode on the loss of a Birkin handbag….really… I’m sure they did that to extend the number of episodes…pineal pump for the condition of ED…oh give the viewer a break…there was very little interesting about that bit of garbage except to laugh….it’s just rubbish and insulting to the viewer trying to make a show with all that nonsense going on…that’s why I gave most of it a miss….it’s a waste of talent, time and money to do a third series IMO.
The second season has been terrible…it is full of smutty discussions regarding sex, way to much profanity were they use f and c bombs…it’s just typical out there over the top American rubbish…it has simply lost its way trying to have a modern outlook of women hitting their fifties…I perceived watching but turned off with some of their antics..glad this season is coming to a close.
Not sure if you watched the original SATC then, but that is exactly how it was back then, and if anything Season 2 has of AJLT has gone back to how the original felt (most fans are back onboard now with it focusing more on the raunchiness that S1 was missing)
I’ve said all I have one the show…it was not as enjoyable as the first season which I watched several times….but the characters were younger then and now they have women hitting their fifties and behaving in some scenes worse than they were in their younger days…where is there any maturity in that….isn’t the general consensus “grow old with some grace and dignity” as you age nowadays with everyone trying to hold us all accountable for our actions and moral standards?
