  1. Seven may have suffered a bit of blow back from Home & Away fans, to see their show ditched in the middle of a cliff-hanger for four nights. Not happy Jan. Seven’s promos didn’t entice (what’s new?). Throat-slitting gestures and abuse. Nup.

      1. Ten has a lower threshold for success than seven, plus was holding its own against MAFS.

I agree flop might be a bit too harsh, but it’s definitely not looking good for a new show.

      2. Clutching at straws here I would say James. I think we can all see it’s not going to work based on the switch off from lead in and environment which it launched in – very different to Survivor! Totally rejected on the East Coast too.
Guaranteed by the time it was coming off air it’s audience had taken an even further slide!

        1. Across Australia 60k covered the 3 commercial tentpoles in total people.
          Just 12k separating all 3 in 25-54’s.
It’s very difficult to call one a flop when they’re all similar performers.

          1. Agree flop is harsh based on first outing, but the metro number is low given Seven News was the biggest audience it has had all year. It will need to grow to really justify the costs. Total TV was MCA 757k, PG & $MDI both 681k.

  2. What has happened to the News Breakfast ratings? They are sinking fast from challenging for second place. The fall started before Michael went on leave.

    1. Lisa Millar was away for a few weeks doing Muster Dogs assignment, then Tony Armstrong has been away for a month (returned yesterday) and yes, as you pointed out Michael Rowland has been away too, so a lot desk shuffling with other presenters covering the regulars so that may have put off some viewers.
