Nine scores with Second Test, Utopia tops entertainment.

State of Origin passes 3.2m in Total TV numbers last week. Nine wins Wednesday.

Sport continues to push Nine mid-year with Ashes Series Second Test last night averaging up to 792,000 metro viewers across the network.

That comes on top of bumper Total TV numbers for the second State of Origin -at over 3.2m last week thank you very much, plus Wimbledon on the way next week.

Meanwhile Utopia topped entertainment at 590,000 (also big in Total TV).

Elsewhere in the early slot was 7:30 (481,000), MasterChef Australia (460,000) and Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly (343,000).

Latr Gruen drew 532,000 then The Front Bar (231,000), Riptide (191,000), In Limbo (172,000) and Costco: Is it Really Worth It? (144,000).

Nine network won Wednesday with 37.9% then Seven 22.3%, ABC 17.1%, 10 15.5% and SBS 7.2%.

Nine News drew 832,000 / 806,000 then A Current Affair (670,000) and Hot Seat (421,000 / 273,000).

Seven News was #1 at 912,000 / 860,000. The Chase won with 567,000 / 352,000 then Home & Away (465,000). Accused was 140,000.

ABC News was 594,000. The Drum (183,000), Queen of Oz (114,000) and QI (93,000) followed.

The Project drew 258,000 / 178,000 for 10. 10 News First was 241,000 / 167,000. So Help Me Todd managed 91,000.

On SBS it was SBS World News (149,000 /120,000),  History of the Sitcom (93,000) and Blue Lights (43,000).

Octonauts topped multichannels at 134,000.
