Seven News, AFL, The Chase lead to Thursday win.

MasterChef pips its entertainment competition, A Current Affair wins slot for Nine.

Thanks to Thursday night AFL Seven had a winning night in ratings.

The game between Port Adelaide & Geelong drew up to 424,000 metro viewers across the network.

The Chase topped entertainment at 536,000 / 339,000.

MasterChef Australia scored 384,000 just pipping 7:30 (383,000) an extended Home & Away from 7pm (374,000 / 341,000) and Miriam & Alan Lost in Scotland & Beyond (243,000) and RBT 205,000 in select cities.

Later Paramedics was 279,000 then The First Inventors (190,000 on 10), and Grand Designs NZ (188,000).

Seven network won Thursday with 33.0% then Nine 25.9%, 10 17.8%, ABC 14.8% and SBS 8.4%.

Seven News was #1 at 867,000 / 846,000. Highway Patrol was 137,000 in 3 cities. Britain’s Got Talent was 72,000 across the network.

Nine News (774,000 / 766,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair led with 601,000 then Hot Seat (406,000 / 257,000).  Casualty 24/7 was 198,000.

The Project drew 265,000 / 201,000 for 10. 10 News First was 238,000 / 161,000. A Socceroos v Argentina game was 158,000 across the network.

ABC News was 512,000. The Drum (166,000) and One Plus One (102,000) followed.

On SBS it was SBS World News (128,000 / 105,000), Inside Sydney Airport (107,000), Putin and the West (91,000), The Day They Dropped the Bomb (39,000) and Normal People (36,000).

Ginger & the Vegesaurs again led multichannels at 109,000.

The Morning Show: 148,000 / 99,000
Today Extra: 119,000 / 77,000
