Seven tops Tuesday entertainment, MasterChef, Cheap Seats win slots.

Seven News & Home & Away push Seven to Tuesday win. ABC's Black Hand debuts at second in its slot.

Last night Seven had the two top entertainment shows.

The Chase was best at 569,000 / 353,000 with Home & Away next at 482,000.

Meanwhile MasterChef Australia won its slot with 452,000 then 7:30 (431,000), The ABC Of (389,000), The Longst Feud: Chappell v Botham (350,000), Million Dollar Island (283,000) and Great Coastal Railway Journeys (160,000).

Later The Cheap Seats won with 357,000 ahead of The Black Hand (312,000) debut.

Seven network won Tuesday with 28.0% share then Nine 24.8%, 10 18.9%, ABC 18.6% and SBS 9.7%.

Seven News was #1 at 979,000 / 923,000 for Seven. The Rookie (187,000) and The Rookie: Feds (134,000)

Nine News (795,000 / 772,000) was best for Nine then A Current Affair (630,000) and Hot Seat (390,000 /257,000). Movie: The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee settled for 138,000.

The Project drew 278,000 / 179,000 for 10. 10 News First was 233,000 / 161,000. NCIS was 93,000 across the network.

ABC News pulled 598,000. The Drum (175,000) and Louis Theroux Interviews (128,000) followed.

On SBS it was SBS World News (180,000 / 127,000), Insight (106,000), Dateline (89,000) and late news (44,000).

Octonauts led multichannels at 128,000.

  1. So I get the feeling the older demographic watch The Chase and news combo and then head to ABC / SBS / 7Two etc. Families watch the news and Home and Away or ACA and then they head off to Netflix and other streamers if there’s no reality offerings they like.

  2. I missed out on the Longest Feud Special. I am wondering if they had the encore of the program at noon?
    9 have produced more sporting docos – from Ashes to Ashes, to Bill Lawry Gloriuos Life and The Longest Feud.
