9GEM scores with Ashes win, Dancing tops Sunday entertainment.
Twice the number of viewers on sport than a new reality show on Nine, while Seven's ballroom blitz continues.

Australia’s win in the Ashes Series second test was a big drawcard last night even though it screened on 9GEM.
The match drew up to 750,000 metro viewers, arguably cannibalising a new reality series on the primary channel, with 9GEM on a whopping 22.9% share.
Meanwhile Dancing with the Stars was not impacted, topping entertainment at 647,000 then MasterChef Australia (411,000), Grand Designs Revisited (336,000) and Rush (301,000).
Later 60 Minutes was 341,000 then 7News Spotlight (303,000), Silent Witness (274,000) and FBI (183,000).
Nine network won Sunday with 41.7% then Seven 24.9%, 10 14.0%, ABC 11.3% and SBS 8.0%.
Nine News was 862,000 with a late edition at 215,000. Australian Crime Stories was 116,000.
Seven News was #1 at 917,000. The Latest scored 191,000. Born to Kill? managed 79,000.
The Sunday Project was 289,000 / 187,000 for 10. 10 News First was 186,000 / 146,000. NCIS: Hawaii was 86,000.
ABC News drew 533,000. Compass (149,000) and The Messenger (81,000) followed.
On SBS it was SBS World News (177,000 / 117,000), History’s Greatest Mysteries (126,000) and Tour de France (92,000 across the network).
In Total TV numbers last Sunday were:
Silent Witness: 641,000
Warnie: 968,000
MasterChef Australia: 778,000
Insiders: 540,000
Dancing with the Stars:Â 1.09m

Watched the Ashes, but I PVR’d Rush given I love travel.
It was OK, but serious format issues already jump out – how much money a team has is presented as a big deal complete with itemised expenses and remaining $$$ – however the provided amount is adequate for the leg, so unless any remaining cash carries over to the next leg, why is it worth noting or spending story beats on the dilemma of slow transport vs. fast, if there is zero disadvantage to splurging? The show also required utter stupidity for any order change in the teams after meeting David, as due to the structure of the mission and lack of transport options post check-out, there were minimal chance for teams to gain/lose spots. Amazing Race this isn’t.
Ashes coverage has been excellent. They should flip the Ashes back to the main channel.
Omg Rush!!! Nine must be regretting launching it and not having Ashes on main channel wherever possible. They coulda just run specials on nights there were no Ashes or Footy surely
It follows from Summit premiere against Farmer finale. Rush against Ashes finale, could have screened Mon – Wed with clearer air. A second misstep with new ESA shows by Nine.
