Airdate: Charlie Teo Investigation

Nine's Charlie Teo special will screen against an interview with the neurosurgeon on Seven.

On Sunday Nine will screen a special Charlie Teo Investigation, however much of the vision is understood to have previously been broadcast.

A major investigation into Charlie Teo, Australia’s most celebrated brain surgeon, who has been found guilty of unsatisfactory professional conduct.

This will screen at 9pm Sunday following on episode of The Murder of Lyn Dawson at 8pm.

It will also air against rival 7News Spotlight‘s interview with Teo at 8:50pm.

Revelations about the famed neurosurgeon and former SBS presenter were first exposed by SMH reporter Kate McClymont. He denied the allegations but this week was found guilty of misconduct by a Professional Standards Committee over two surgeries that had ‘disastrous’ outcomes.

He is considering an appeal.

  1. I really wish they would leave Charlie alone…he gave us a precious extra 9 months with our 22 year old son when no one else would operate and when you meet him he is so down to earth, never arrogant…he asked us to call him Charlie not Dr Teo. It was quite obvious that other Doctors were jealous of him and yet all the other medical staff adored him. He has saved others I know as well and for the record he never charged us a single cent. He never claimed to be God or Infallible , just a man with a passion and a talent for helping people. 🙁

    1. Thank you for sharing, you have touched my heart…I have lost a daughter and I know the devastating impact it has…I wish you only the best and take care always.

  2. Nine did this years ago on ACA and 60Minutes. Seven also covered it years ago. Then we have a Lyn Dawson rehash. Looks like a 10-night for us anyway.

    1. I mentioned this on the Spotlight post…but let’s not forget in all fairness he has saved many lives regardless of his current situation…it’s understandable he wants as much publicity he can get because bottom line he is fighting for a career he has had for many many years and now it’s all on shaky ground.
