Tom Gleisner has confirmed he will not be judging Thank God You’re Here when it returns to 10 next week.
Asked today by Studio 10 if he would be seen in the revival, he said, “Uhh, no. We’re so excited, it’s been 14 years since we’ve done Thank God You’re Here and Celia Pacquola will be the most wonderful new host.
“We’ve decided with this series we’re gonna go with guest judges. So while it used to be me every week, we’re introducing some comedy legends which we’ll be revealing over the coming weeks, who will be stepping in each week to to assess the performances of those who are brave enough to slip through the blue door.”
The series returns to 10 at 7:30pm Wednesday August 2nd.

Tom’s role always seemed a bit superfluous. The “competition” aspect of the show doesn’t actually matter much.
I tend to agree but there must have been a reason they decided not to dispense with it.
Looking forward to this. It was a great show til 7 kill it off.
It was Working Dog that killed it off.
Surprised this hasn’t come up sooner, though good to see confirmation that Tom won’t be returning in the judge role.
I hope the guest judge doesn’t turn into 10’s attempt to shoehorn in “promotional appearances” like they do already with the guest quizmasters on HYBPA.
Completely agree – although some of the “guest quizmasters” on HYBPA can be quite entertaining, others just scream “only here as a cross-promotional stunt”. I’d question even having “judges” on TGYH… we watch for the laughs and entertainment as the guests improvise their situation, not to hear what someone else thought of it.
