  1. Season one was one big ‘Alien invasion’ trope but offered enough scope for me to stay the course. I appreciate that it does take a certain creative skill set to write a convincing sci-fi screenplay and fortunately for Invasion the strong visuals are the main attraction of this show. The attempt to internationalise the global response to this Alien invasion is a good start as usually the main action and final threat response hinges on a single dominant character or an elite group, when in reality it would be a large scale event with varying degrees of success.

  2. Such a great show. AppleTV+ continues to have a small selection of absolutely top notch series worth subscribing a couple of times a year to feast on and then leave while they take a few months to recharge their stocks.

    1. I agree and do the same thing. Will probably re-subscribe again in August. I’m keen to try out Silo this time and catch up on the second seasons of Foundation and Invasion.

        1. Thanks for your feedback Dayman on Silo and Hijack. Hijack is one I thought I might check out after I watch the others I’ve mentioned, so will do so based on your recommendation.

          1. Sorry David, that was a little insensitive of me. I did read your review of Hijack, which brought it to my attention. It sounded good, so I added it to my ‘check out sometime’ list, based solely on your review. I didn’t mean to exclude your good work in my comment above, Dayman’s comment simply made me realise I really should check it out. Anyway, I do appreciate all you do and the reviews you post. There is so much content these days, it’s nice to know I can visit this site and get an insight into what’s coming up along with other people’s thoughts too. Have a good weekend and enjoy the Logies David.
