  1. I know Season 1 didn’t get much love, but I thought it was great.

Wasn’t a huge fan of the books. I had read the first three or four of the books in the series and thought they were ok, but didn’t feel any real need to continue reading them. So the changes to characters etc. in the streaming series didn’t worry me. In fact I thought the changes made it more ‘adult’ and more enjoyable.

    Looking forward to Season 2.

    1. Considering that most of the positive reviews for SE01 of The Wheel of Time came within the first 30 days of its release Amazon’s claimed success could be open to interpretation, Amazon do have some paid reviewers who give most of Amazon’s big investment shows a positive spin even if they later apologize for doing so, but those critics who read the books or are just looking for all the negatives didn’t give season one much of an endorsement. I didn’t mind The Wheel of Time though the story arc began to test my patience toward the end, for me the main characters didn’t look that ethereal or exhibit enough magical foresight even if it was flawed, if you create magical characters the viewer needs to feel that their lives will transcend mere mortal matters or personal relationships, they thrive within a universe beyond that understood by humanity, but not in this show, all the modern power tropes are there for all to see.
