“I need to focus on my health”: Amy Shark cancels US tour

Australian Idol judge taking time out for sugery and recuperation.

Australian Idol judge Amy Shark has cancelled her upcoming US tour dates telling fans through Instagram she needs immediate surgery.

“In recent days I’ve had some very uncomfortable painful moments and have just found out that I need surgery ASAP. I am choosing to keep the details private but I’m all good dw,” she wrote.

“I will need a month to recover, meaning I have to cancel the North American tour next month. I’m so sad right now. I’m very sorry but I need to focus on my health for a month.

“I hope you understand and I promise I’ll be back as soon as I’m recovered. Much love from sad Amy.”

She was due to begin in Washington on Wednesday, 6 September, ending in Los Angeles on Tuesday, 26 September.

Shark, who recently won the Logie for Most Popular New Talent is also expected to return to Australian Idol, which is holding auditions with producers at present and due to commence production anytime between 1st September to 31st March.

Seven us yet to formally announce the show’s return.
