Oops. Chaser’s untimely joke on food poisioning…

The Chase‘s Mara Lejins aka ‘The Smiling Assassin’ yesterday dropped an unfortunately timed joke about her cooking yesterday.

Speaking to a contestant who loves to cook she said, “I’m also an amazing chef and when my boyfriend gets out of hospital he’ll definitely back me up. I didn’t do it!”

The joke comes at a time when headlines are swirling around a mysterious case of mushroom poisoning in Victoria.
