  1. The first season of this was a perfect example of a show stretching a thin story out to 10 episodes when it really should have been 6… maybe 8. I thought it was boring, hugely overwrought and completely ludicrous with all of the red herrings… most of the drama could have easily been solved by characters just communicating with each other, but this show is not one of those shows. It’s poor writing in my opinion, which relies on characters withholding information for no reason whatsoever to create drama, a lazy trope that’s frustratingly becoming all too familiar (The Summer I Turned Pretty S2 is incredibly guilty of this at the moment for example). It was one of the better shows in showing what era we were flashing back to though. Each era was clearly defined and I liked that, with no confusion as to what period we were watching. But that’s all it had going for it. It’s safe to say I won’t be back for this one.
