  1. Sorry but I hate sketch comedy shows and Thank God You’re Here offered nothing new. It’s just like the one they should don seven before it was pulled from air due to making fun of the judges of MasterChef. They rebooted TGYH outlet for the fans of the original show. It left me cold.

  2. Very strong episode of ‘Thank God You’re Here’. All the performers did well and lots of great scenarios. And Virginia Gay was having a good night: on air at 7.30 then at 8.30 in Mother and Son.

I’m glad ‘Mother and Son’ had a good start. I’ve just read your review DK, and the comments. I suspended some of my preconceived ideas, but it was hard as the original was such a formative viewing experience for me. Denise is the stand out and makes the role her own. It helps she has such a different physicality to Ruth. I found everyone else less interesting. I think Matt had a few moments to shine, but it felt a bit undercooked at times, but I am committed to it.

      1. Comedy is subjective. Meaning what someone else finds funny, you may not. Just because you didn’t like it or find a show funny doesn’t mean no one else can like it. I don’t like the block but don’t dislike others that do not does it make the show terrible.
