AFL Finals drives Seven ratings week

Big Friday & Saturday shares for Seven. The Block tops entertainment -and a surprise for SBS last week.

Seven News and AFL helped Seven carve out another weekly ratings win.

The Block was the top entertainment show, although it was upstaged by MKR across three nights.

The Masked Singer debuted on 10 while SBS World Movies topped SBS multichannels, which could well be a first.

Seven led from Monday – Saturday. Nine scored Sunday. ABC bettered 10 on Sunday, Friday & Saturday.

Seven was victorious in Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth. Nine won Sydney & Brissy.

ABC: ABC News (Sun: 527,000), Australian Story (433,000), 7:30 (429,000) and Hard Quiz (401,000).

  1. Now that the AFL season is nearly coming to an end, it depends on Seven’s performance for the rest of the year. They have the Brownlow coming up next week and the AFL GF. However, I do fear that if GWS & Lions make it to the GF, the ratings will be much lower than last year’s GF – could be less than 1.7 million metro viewers.
