Oops. “I didn’t mean to swear in front of you.”

When Melanie Bracewell asked the PM to sign her 'citizenship papers,' this happened...

Last night on The Cheap Seats Melanie Bracewell accidentally dropped the F-bomb in front of PM Anthony Albanese after jokingly asking for her ‘citizenship papers’ to be signed.

Thankfully it was all received in good humour.

  1. I was hoping someone would upload a clip of this (even if it’s been pulled thanks to overprotective copyright garbage) – absolute TV gold, as was Albo’s response to the blunder. Love The Cheap Seats… another Working Dog piece of champagne comedy that gives us something to laugh about each week.

  2. Old as dirt…only do Facey….totally hooked on all the Reels….and I love this show and these two young folk…and no, I am no a Kiwi … The PM is a human being 👌

  3. I’m with tolliver333 on this one. I’m in my 40s, and TCS is must watch viewing. Probably helps that I’m a kiwi too.

IIRC the f bomb was because she dropped her mic equipment. Albo took it in good humour. Pointed out if they denied citizenship based on an f bombs, noone would be eligible.

  4. These things happen….they make people real….reminds me of Miriam Margolyes getting her citizenship certificate from Julia Gillard on live tv….declaring to the nation in 2013…”I’m a dyke”…they make great tv viewing.

  5. Personally I don’t get the appeal of these two or their show

Probably aimed at the TikTok generation who coincidentally don’t watch FTA like their older generations do

Was surprised that the PM made an appearance, probably trying to appeal to the young’uns

    1. I will say I aint the tik tok generation and I do see the appeal with these two. The show is light and humorous. They would appeal to all ages with this. It is a broad state that younger people dont watch FTA

    2. I’m with Tolliver333 on this, I’m 47 and I love watching TCS, it’s great for a good laugh. Tim and Mel are a fantastic pair and I love what they do. Mel is fantastic on Thank God tonight.

    3. I’m 79. Don’t do TikTok, Instagram, etc., so definitely not of “the TikTok generation”. TCS is one of my two must-watch 10 shows. Couldn’t tell you what else is on 10.
