Every Family Has a Secret lifts SBS on Thursday

Returning series with Noni Hazlehurst will likely top the week for SBS. RBT and Gogglebox win timeslots on Thursday.

Thursday was quiet in terms of entertainment shows, but ultimately a winner for Nine.

The Chase topped entertainment at 442,000 / 273,000 followed by Home & Away at 428,000 metro viewers.

RBT had a rare timeslot win with 374,000 then 7:30 (363,000), The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity (355,000), Boyer Lecture (216,000) and Every Family Has a Secret which at 197,000 will probably be their top show of the week.

Gogglebox won its slot with 422,000 then Emergency (282,000) and Grand Designs (232,000).

Nine network won Thursday with 27.5% then Seven 24.0%, 10 20.7%, ABC 17.4% and SBS 10.4%.

Nine News drew 670,000 / 648,000 then A Current Affair (520,000) and Hot Seat (328,000 / 218,000). Big Miracles was 89,000.

Seven News was #1 at 775,000 / 766,000. Women’s Big Bash returned to 108,000 across the Seven network.

The Project pulled 240,000 / 140,000. 10 News First was 173,000 / 140,000. The Cheap Seats replay was 150,000.

ABC News was 487,000. Griff’s Great Australian Rail Trip (203,000) and The Drum (114,000) followed.

On SBS it was SBS World News (131,000 / 98,000), Luke Nguyen’s India (88,000) and Crime (43,000).

Today Extra: 115,000 / 76,000
The Morning Show: 107,000 / 64,000

  1. It was a brilliant episode of Every Family Has a Secret. SBS makes good programs. They just need to avoid scheduling them against other similar Australian programs. It was crazy to put While The Men Are Away on a Wednesday night against other Australian scripted programs on Ten and the ABC

  2. I’ve been wanting to say for some time that the Thursday edition of Channel Seven’s The Morning Show seems to be beaten by the opposition. You would think that the creative team would have done something about it by now.
