“In light of current events, the launch date of C*A*U*G*H*T on ITVX will be delayed until further notice,” says UK streamer.

UK streaming service ITVX has halted plans to screen Australian comedy series C*A*U*G*H*T, due to conflict in the Middle East.

“In light of current events, the launch date of C*A*U*G*H*T on ITVX will be delayed until further notice,” said a spokesperson for ITVX. “We will be in touch when a new streaming date is confirmed.”

The move follows the cancellation of a showcase planned for MIPCOM trade event in Cannes.

Distributors Fremantle said, “In light of the current situation unfolding in Israel, we have taken the decision not to showcase C*A*U*G*H*T at MIPCOM this year.”

The series by Kick Gurry centres around 4 Australian soldiers taken hostage in a fictional Indo-Pacific territory.

The comedy screening on Stan carries a superstar cast including Sean Penn, Matthew Fox, Susan Sarandon, Bryan Brown an Travis Fimmel.
